Geraint Griffiths, Managing Director

Geraint came into contact with the housing industry not long after graduating, when as a member of his then employer’s development team, he collaborated on the precursor to the Aareon UK QL Housing product. Geraint Griffiths joined Aareon UK in 1993, became a Director in 2010 and has been Managing Director (MD) since 2018.

Geraint has a strong background in the operational aspects of the business including product strategy and delivery, support and consulting. During his time with the business he has been part of the team that has successfully grown the business to its current position.

Since Aareon introduced the collaboration platform Yammer in the spring of 2019, he has been a keen user. “With colleagues in three locations and when working from home, I find Yammer an effective communication tool. I encourage people to use it in my posts and I participate in cross-border groups to share success stories from the UK with others and keep up to date with events in the Group.”

Rob Griffiths, Managing Director

Rob joined Aareon UK in October 2018 as a Business Advisor, then went on to become Interim General Manager from January 2019. In December 2019, he became Managing Director. Rob has been a professional Interim Director of 33-assignments over the last 19-years. His roles have led to leadership and operational success in highly competitive and fast-paced B2B Technology and Business-Services related verticals, across multiple B2B SME, Corporate and Public sectors.

Amanda Lee-Bennett, Finance Director

Amanda Lee-Bennett has been Finance Director at Aareon UK since March 2018.

Amanda is an experienced CFO, and a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) with over 23 years’ experience in Finance, covering a full range finance functions, cash planning, embedding robust financial control systems, budgeting, financial reporting to the Board and shareholders, treasury management, financial compliance, M&A and implementing rigorous audit frameworks and improving quality of systems/processes.  Amanda’s experience has been very broad and at a corporate level assumed responsibility for IT, site services, HR, legal and compliance.

Although she has experience in manufacturing/engineering businesses, her passion is to develop and grow people businesses, as people are the heart of the business.  In her previous role at Pera Group, she was one of the Finance Leads and part of the consortium for 2 major business support programmes  – Manufacturing Advisory Service (£50m) and Growth Accelerator, launched by Vince Cable and lead by the Department for Business, Innovation & Skills (BIS) a £200m programme to deliver growth support for England’s most ambitious small businesses.

Amanda has an amazing positive attitude, energy and passion, which combined with her well-developed leadership attributes, means we have someone who has a real impact on the business.

Genevieve Davey-Smith, HR Manager

Genni started as Business Administrator for 1st Touch in February 2014 and became part of Aareon UK when the businesses merged in 2017. In her time within the Housing sector, Genni has built up a lot of commercial knowledge and understanding of Aareon’s customer base.

Genni’s role as HR Manager means she works closely with Aareon UK’s Board of Directors and Management teams, in order to support strategic direction of the business and help drive performance.

“I work every day to make Aareon UK a place where people want to work, where they can succeed, develop, be recognised and be proud off. My long-term ambition for Aareon is for us to become an employer of choice and a top 100 company to work for in the UK.”

Genni is currently finishing her studies for Level 7 CIPD in Human Resource Management, “In order to provide the very best HR support to the business and people in it!” She is originally from Cape Town in South Africa, however has lived in the UK since 2000. She spends most of her spare time with her family or studying for her current HR course.

Ian Lockwood, Head of Business Development

Ian Lockwood heads up Aareon UK's Business Development team, focusing on our new business. He joined Aareon in 2002, having previously worked with the Public Sector divisions of Xerox & IBM.

In his time with Aareon, Ian has worked with a wide variety of customers encompassing Local Authorities, ALMO’s, LSVT’s and Housing Associations across the UK to understand their strategic and operational goals and to identify solutions to enable them to be achieved.

Because of his close interaction with customers, Ian also sits on the Aareon Product Board. This is to ensure that customers’ needs, both now and in the future, are fed into Aareon's product development roadmap. This helps to ensure that the Aareon product set remains at the forefront of the housing software market.

James Gayton, Head of Account Management

James joined Aareon in September 2019 as Head of Account Management. He thrives leading and building high performing sales teams, as well as coaching and mentoring teams to achieve their goals.

James has 20 years of experience in successful sales roles throughout his career, solving problems though the innovative use of technology software. He is Sandler trained and uses this methodology process to help drive sales performance and revenue.

He prioritises problem solving for customers, by leading from the front and resolving queries at pace. He focuses on positive business outcomes to help drive the business forward into the future.
