Bernicia improve efficiencies with 360 Contractor Portal

In July 2017, Bernicia began a review of the market in their search for a new Housing Management System and Digital Solutions to enable them to improve business efficiencies.

A key part of Bernicia’s requirements was an integrated Contractor Portal that would enable them to streamline the organisation’s repairs operation, enforcing compliance with contracts and policies, and improving the overall cost management. 

The 360 Contractor Portal supports the full repair and maintenance procurement cycle: real time order transfer, updates, variations, job completion and invoice management.

Gary Hind, Director of Business Transformation at Bernicia explains the collaboration with Aareon when it came to implementing the portal: “The 360 Contractor Portal was part of the delivery requirements for when we went live with Aareon QL, to align with our business ‘Digital by Default’ objectives.

“We had already developed a contractor management system in-house which we needed to replace quickly and efficiently with the 360 Contractor Portal. We have a good working relationship with Aareon’s development team and have a policy to try and keep things as simple as possible, which helps with the buy-in process for all concerned. We worked alongside Aareon to put forward our user journey knowledge with our in-house system to help develop the best user experience for our staff and our contractors using the portal."
